Heather you know, it sounds to me like you’re a proper mum, organised and able to pull off last minute trips like a pro! I bet you didn’t expect that to creep up on you :) I can only hope one day, when we have little ones, that we’re the same!

Hopefully there will be a lot more picnic weather, it’s been a bit on & off lately! Still house hunting at the mo, it’s so hard! I need a nice picnic to distract myself :)

Hmmm, lilac smells so good. I’m sure there’s some old tradition in our family of not bringing it indoors. Don’t ask me why. I’m sure it was one of my Grandma’s ‘things’ like never wearing green to a wedding. I’ve been pretty thin on the ground with photos too. Why are some weeks like that?

Oh I’ve often felt like that after I’ve managed to provide Little B with a train trip + park + picnic + icecream experience. Big Gold Star for Mummy!!! It feels so good doesn’t it, to have a successful, happy outing under your belt! we must go again, in the summer hols when I have all three kids at home, they like to do that outing. Saltaire too. And Ilkley (the LIDO??!!!) and Settle.

At least your picnic was outside on a sunny day. I recall my son saying one day “why do we always eat our picnics in the car?!” I guess that was because it always rained when we planned picnics!
Looks like you had a great time.
We are off to a friends daughters wedding at the weekend. I’m sure i’m not old enough for that to happen! x
