The Park This Week

It turns out that the lure of conker photos was too much and so a few of them have sneaked their way onto my blog today. But I included some yarnbombing too! And that makes it ok. These are all things that we saw in the park this week: Yarnbombs, a pretty spider’s web covered in dew, conkers, beech nuts, oak galls, lichen, trees, lots of leaves, tree bark, and ducks and a crane although technically these were just outside the park.

Autumn is just wonderful and we are so lucky to have this park nearby. We’ve been 4 times this week!

  1. There’s my lamp-post in the topmost set! Your park really is lovely. Horse Chestnut trees make me feel a little sad now as my children are way beyond conker-age and I used to love gathering conkers because the shiny wood-grain is so beautiful.

LOL I just scoured the pictures looking for the crane….and then realised you meant heavy machinery crane not exotic bird crane! Yarndale was awesome wasn’t it? I had such a lovely weekend and it’s nice to see such lovely pictures as a happy reminder :)

Just for the record, Heather, I love conkers too. Here in Seattle there is a huge chestnut tree right down the street.
