The Ice Cream Parlour

This morning we managed to find some sunshine (after days? weeks? of grey sky and rain). It was of course bitterly cold to make up for the sunshine, the Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream Parlour really catches the wind. It has (without a doubt) the best play area for miles and miles around and we always have a good time when we go. TTB likes to climb on the wooden structures and of course “drive” them, the train being his favourite. I bought us an ice cream to share, sadly I did not get a lick of it for me as once he had it in his hands he didn’t let go until it was all gone. I am so grateful for babywipes! ¬†We went into the play area in the barn for the first time today, including what I shall call the enormous mega slide of doom. Oh it’s very fun and children a bit bigger than TTB can manage it on their own and were having a great time. Unfortunately my child has ideas bigger than himself and wants to join in. As you can see, he did indeed go down the slide and no my nerves still haven’t recovered!

At least he isn’t going head-first I suppose!?

  1. It looks like such a fun place to go, and there’s ice cream, to boot! I love baby wipes too. My children are turning six and nine in the next few weeks and I still carry baby wipes everywhere we go. I’ll probably carry them for the rest of my life. :)

  3. Those slides bring back memories of my son wanting to climb anything and everything! Do you have a Tumble Tots club near you? It was a great activity to help teach him to climb safely. x

The play area looks like great fun. TTB clearly thinks he is older than he is and has no fear!

I remember my handbags got bigger when my children were small as there were so many things to carry around. Wet ones are brilliant but were not around when my children were small. You youngsters have such an easy time of it now LOL.

  5. Looks like your son is game for anything! Yes, baby wipes are brilliant. I still use them and my sons are now in their late twenties. I should add that I DON’T use the baby wipes for my sons any longer!!

  6. There’s nothing my boys loved more than playing on the ‘big’ equipment.

We haven’t been to our local ice cream parlour for ages. I feel a trip coming on!
