It’s just a carpark, really, at the foot of the Cow & Calf rocks on Ilkley Moor. A carpark that’s very convenient if you’re passing through Ilkley and you realise that the sky is amazing and you just want to pull in quickly and take some photos. The sheep don’t really care that you’re there and let you get really close before wandering off for more grass, and then mooch out into the middle of the road to stop the traffic for a few minutes. You really do feel like you are on top of the world standing there. Quite humbling to see so much before you. I’m so grateful that I live in such a beautiful part of the world.
I’m glad I got these photos, I feel like I only take photos of TTB these days (two more weeks until his birthday, I’ve taken a photo every day so far which means I have almost completed a Project 365 for the first time *proud* but also glad his first year is almost over so I can stop stressing about taking a photo each day!). I want to start using my SLR again. Ahem. I want to learn how to use it properly rather than as a fancy point and shoot because that’s naughty and I see so many brilliant photos online that they put me to shame.
My father in law is here at the moment, he and Andy are going to change the light fitting in here so it’s not so gloomy: part 2 of the “improve this room” thing. It’s also raining, TTB is asleep and I am feeling the urge to bake (quite a rare urge if I’m honest) and since there are two cake loving people here I don’t even have to eat any of it so that’s a winner in my book. :-)
