Friends!
I have done a basic tutorial on how to make a ripple straight. It’s HERE. Very basic as I’ve just done it in TTB’s short nap time. I did the photos before he was born though, I’m not THAT speedy!
I’m away visiting my mum for a week now (Andy is going to miss TTB I’m sure, he is staying here) so I will either not have time to post or I will be posting all the time as all my family will be having baby cuddles. Let’s see how it goes. Wish me luck – this is the first time I’ve taken TTB away. EEK!

You’ll have a great time, take advantage and put your feet up!!! Sarah
Get used to having your baby hijacked and enjoy a little respite. Thanks for the tutorial, I shall have another go at straightening a ripple. Enjoy the time with your family and don’t forget to let Andy hear TTB gurgling over the phone and watch TTB’s face light up when he hears daddy’s voice.
PS Heather, you need to change the clock time on your blog – we’re not on BST anymore – says she who is notorious for not changing the clock until she realises she’s either an hour ahead or behind the rest of the world!
Awesome tutorial pics! Have a lovely week away!
Perhaps I shall see you!!
I’ll keep a lookout for that pram :)
Enjoy the time with your family. Make the most of your free time when TTB is having cuddles with others.
Thanks for the tutorial which I have printed and filed along with Attic 24′s brilliant ripple instructions. I will probably attempt a ripple next year as I am still a beginner when it comes to crochet.
Have a lovely time at your Mom’s. Poor Andy will be lost without the pair of you. Good luck for the journey – I find it quite alarming how much stuff is needed to travel with a baby – the nappies take up half a suitcase! Have fun, Abigail x
Thank-you.
I think it might need to de-stash & make a ripple as my next project!
Have fun!
Good luck! :-) Have lots of fun with your family! xxxx
Thanks so much for this Heather – I’ve been meaning to work it out for ages and now I don’t have to!!! ♥
Enjoy the time with your family, enjoy every moment x
I’ve not done any of my ripple for a couple of weeks now. Enjoy your break, you will get spoiled rotten.
Excellent tutorial, thanks for that. Have a lovely time and relax! xxx
Thank you thank you thank you!!!
The timing for your tutorial could not have been better. Finished the last row of my ripple cushion on Friday and was trying to figure out how to make the edges straight.
I’m a beginner at crochet and your pictures and explanations made complete sence.
I don’t not know how you manage this with TTB to look after, your a star!
Thank you x
Just to say big “thank you” for easy tuorial about granny squares! I did six today, and it was my first attempt with the crochet hook! I’m sooo proud I could burst :-))) I love your blog, and just because of the beautiful things you make I had courage to try crocheting myself.
Hope you’ll have a wonderful time with your Mum and family :-)

Well I’ve no idea what on earth is going on here. For some reason none of your posts for the last 4 weeks had loaded when I messaged you yesterday. Even though I had seen some of them, I’d forgotten, and they just weren’t there. No they have all arrived in full and you have done a TUTORIAL???????? OMG. Super mother.
So relieved to see this as I thought you were being quiet and drowning in babyville. Hurray hurray!
Off for a read through the bits I have missed.

ps I have a sneaky feeling I have been doing something silly like clicking on history to visit you. Idiot.
Awesome, thanks so much for this tutorial!!! Working on my first ripple blanket and had been fretting about it not being square!!! Besides I like borders on things, just seems to finish them off to me!
