January Mosaics
And here we have January’s mosaics! This is playing havoc with my obsessive need to blog chronologically but it does make me feel better than having mosaics for February – December and nothing for January.
Moving past the unpleasant parts of January we had: un-decorating the Christmas tree, a bit of rippling, lots of tea in new mugs, the first tete a tetes, a sunny lunchtime, a teacup blog swap, a little light yarn shopping, a frosty morning and some white tulips for my bedroom.
THEN we had: lovely orange tulips that attracted the attention of my camera many times, finishing Jack’s blanket (I know this is in February’s mosaic too, I finished it in January but took the last photos in February), a work trip to London, MASSIVE chocolate cake, Big Betty, Rialto Stripes, Chocolate chip cookies, cosy in bed, and knitting sisters.
It’s good to focus on the good things, isn’t it?
I hope you’re having a lovely weekend xx

I love the last pic of the two girls knitting, it’s lovely.
Which programme do you use to make these mosaics? They’re great fun.
Rack of style craft had me drooling. A lovely mosaic.
Gorgeous guinea pig!
Gorgeous photos – love, love and LOVE. I hope you keep this up through the year.
xx
What a lovely collection of wonderful colourfulness.
I need more colour in my life.
Love these mosaics. They look colourful and cheery. Must find out how to do one.
These are lovely pictures:) I love vibrant colors too:)
Yes indeed what software do you use to make the photos?
Such cheerful colourful mosaics! I love Big Betty being the star in the middle of the second one :-) xxxx
Your monthly mosaics have been lovely. The stylecraft caught my eye and I must ask whether your fent shop stocks most of the colours in the range? We have been promising we’ll take #2 to visit a castle and if that can be combined with a chance to stock up on stylecraft so much the better! Any tips on good cafes would be most welcome too :-)

Hi Heather, This is slightly random, I’m afraid! I read your blog, although I don’t comment much, and your photos always cheer me up so much. I saw this in my GReader this morning, and thought you might like it :)

Brilliant pictures. Your January looks a lot more colourful than most!
I love every bit of it but Big Betty {assuming that’s the guinea pig} just might be my favorite part!

I love your photos on your blog! Especially your flowers– the dahlias!!!! They are incredible!!
Your crocheted covers are lovely too!!
I DO HAVE A DESPERATE QUESTION:
IN THE MOSAIC PHOTOS POSTED HERE, WHAT IS THE BRAND/TYPE OF SKEINS OF YARN PICTURED IN YOUR YARN SHOPPING PHOTO?! AND WHAT ARE THE BRAND/TYPE/COLORS OF YARN PICTURED IN THE CROCHETED SQUARES? (AND, while we’re at it, what is the pattern for those squares?!)
I can’t seem to find yarns with such vibrant colors here in the U.S. I’m hoping they exist here, or that there is a way to get them from there!
I’d be ever so grateful if you could help me!!
Thanks!!
your guinea pig is soo cute I have 2 guinea pigs!
I’ve been knitting and using the yarn you gave me! It’s a dream!
