It’s been a busy year for crochet! I was looking though my photo albums (I have them sorted by month) and was surprised that I didn’t make any finished objects until about March time. I think I wasted a lot of time on the hexagon blanket and I got a lot more done when I put it into hibernation and stopped worrying about it. I don’t regret making it (even though it is still technically unfinished) because I gave it to my mum and she love it, which makes me feel good.
I do have another finished object and an almost finished object that I can’t share yet as they are gifts for people who read here. I might count them in next year’s tally!
So … in the mosaic above we have (L-R and then down):
Rosie Ripple :: First Round Cushion :: Cushion-f0r-a-friend-at-work-who-has-now-left :: Striped Nautical cushion for Rachel’s birthday::
Square Nautical cushion for Rachel’s birthday :: Flower bunting x 2 (red, blue, white set still available to buy, email if interested) :: Phoebe Ripple :: Hexagon Blanket
Rainbow Cotton Cushion :: Summer Garden Cushion :: Rialto blanket (WIP) :: Round Cushion
Round Cushion again (other side) :: Blanket Story Blanket :: Baby F Blanket :: Pink Daisies Blanket
Pink Daisies Blanket again :: Ripple-along Ripple (WIP) :: Granny Stripe for Auntie Joan :: Rosie’s Tea Party Blanket
PHEW!
On the agenda for 2012:
(if I declare it here, I must get them finished)
Ripple-along Ripple MUST get finished
Baby blanket 1 (for Jenny)
Baby blanket 2 (for my cousin, due in April)
Baby blanket 3 (for mine and Andy’s friends J&L, due in May)
Andy’s Rialto blanket
That is just the minimum I would like to achieve but I don’t want to plan it out too much as it takes the fun out of it. I have a lot of yarn to use up though, and a head that is BURSTING with ideas!

Busy busy busy crochet year. I love it. And I’m only a little bit jealous.

I hope you have an equally inspiring and creative 2012 :)
xo,

Minimum she says…that is a MAXIMUM list for next year!!!!!
They all look great and you know, it is so satisfying to be able to say ‘I made it myself’ etc….and so much more valuable than going out and buying something inferior. These blankets are heirlooms for goodness sake. When at our son’s home on Christmas Day there was a blanket I crocheted possibly 14 years ago still being used day and daily on the sofa for snuggling into. It gives me the idea that I should do one for each son’s home for next Christmas…that would be two pressies out of the way.
Hi Heather, Wow… I am always amazed by your blankets and I have watched them grow and develop into the lovely things they are. When you see them altogether they are stunning, your one clever lady !!I hope the next year is as inspiring and your flooded with lost of new creative crochet ideas.
Love Tracy (hopefully see you soon ) x
Beautiful crochet – so inspirational. Happy New Year to you, can’t wait to see your 2012 crochet too!x
Heather just catching up with your posts. You must be very proud of your crochet projects. A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR 2012!!! xxx
Well you obviously crochet in your sleep :)that is a whole lot of gorgeousness and I am a tad envious that you can accomplish so much in a year, puts me well to shame. I have actually started a ‘Tea party’ blanket because I loved yours and I must say I am loving putting the little circles of colors together. I unashamedly copied your color combos and then ventured out on my own, so far I have 54 circles made in three days and am about to start again today before it gets too hot (32 deg) l guess I have a few more to do before it is a substantial blanket. I would love to be able to finish it by next weekend for my mum’s birthday, but that may be a bit adventurous.
Have a wonderful New Years Eve and a happy, healthy, abundant and safe 2012.

Sorry for duplicate post, the security code was ‘wrong’, apparently not. Sandi

Hope you have a fantastic 2012! Best of luck with the crochet and house improvements!!! xxx
Hi Heather. You’re right; I adore the hexagon blanket, especially it’s overall redness and the cosy factor of it being on my bed keeping me warm. It doesn’t matter to me that the ends aren’t woven in and there’s no border – I love it for what it is (and as you said yourself, now you don’t have to crochet me one of my own!). xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
What a wonderful website! I discovered it while trying to figure out a granny square. I’d looked at lots of other ‘how-to’ pages but I was still failing miserably, but your tutoial is so clear I managed it first time! Your projects are an inspiration – I know my little girl would love a tea party blanket, although I think I have a fair way to go before I’m competant enough to try that one! Thank you for taking the time to share them with us.
happy crochetting in 2012 :o)
