March – April

Doesn’t time fly these days? I’m sure it gathers speed the older I get. I remember being in primary school and feeling like Christmas NEVER happened, and that our yearly holiday to Pevensey was this magical fortnight that could never come quickly enough. These days, I blink and it’s Friday … which is great as I prefer weekends to being at work. But when you continually blink and it’s Friday, well, you only get about four of those in a month and BAM! it’s the next month already. One quarter done. Scary really. I am surprised that April is here already, I was quite used to it being March.

March has been a good month, I’ve done more stuff and been happier. I know that the extra daylight hours have helped with this, blue skies warm my insides! I am still missing that extra hour though from when the clocks went forwards last week though.

I remembered to make a couple of mosaics this month too …

March has been full of: Tete a tetes :: flowers :: blue skies :: trips with friends :: visiting friends :: yarn shops :: cushion making :: Rosie Ripple :: secret parcels :: sunsets :: hexagons

I have high hopes that April will be a good month too. I hope to finish my hexagons, I get to see my mum and my sister HURRAH! and I have another cushion in my head that I want to make.

What do you have planned in April?

  1. Is it wrong NOT to have anything planned for April?
Come Monday I will be out of work (arrrrgggghhhh) and for the first time I won’t have anything planned at all!
On the plus side, I have just moved to a new country (Switzerland) and can enjoy the next few weeks just discovering my new surroundings at my own pace. Plus I’ll have lots of time to dedicate to crafting again which will be nice after a few long frustrating months when all my crafty goodies were packed in boxes and in storage. Hurray!

  2. Love your cushion from your last post, I really should get on and do some for here. Your mosaic is a lovely way to capture little moments in your life, we are now getting more colder grey days than warm sunny ones and have had to put the heater on morning and night, quite the cold nip in the air and our clocks have just gone back to ‘normal’ time.

What a super idea doing a mosaic for the month, a lovely way to treasure precious moments. How are your herb pots doing? x

  6. Fab mosaics! You’re inspiring me to take more photos this month (my March mosaic was a bit, well, pedestrian. And I have just splashed out on a sewing machine (gulp) so I guess I now need to make things…. Oh and more granny squares. C.x

Great pictures! All that lovely crochet!! I hope that April is not going to race into May before we have all had time to merely blink.
Sun making a brave attempt to appear but the sky is rather grey and not that warm. I,m off to put a cardi on. Have a good week.xxx

  8. Hmmm, plans for April: a birthday, finishing my secret granny stripe blanket… not a long list just yet. I love your photo mosaics – lovely pics and colours :o)

  9. I’ve ordered from create online and have really btaken to liking your canvas bag. Do they come with your purchase or did you buy them as an extra?

May have to trek up to your part of the world to get one if they do!

  10. Love your mosaics for March. March was awesome for me because my Mum was here but now she’s gone home. We are trying to sell our house at the moment so April is going to be all about keeping tidy but I’m hoping to finish my rainbow crochet blanket and get some scrapping done too.
Can’t wait to see your hexie blanket finished – it looks AMAZING so far!

  11. I hate the “blink and it’s friday”. As of next weekend, Sunday to be precise, I will not have to work weekends anymore (finally getting rid of second job!) and so I’ll be doubly looking forward to them… but I hope I can figure out a way to slow things down. Perhaps it has something to do with actually enjoying the weekday job? (heehee)
