Baby Ripple number 2 – almost finished

I started my second Baby Ripple on Friday and I am aaallllmost at the end – just two more stripes left to add, and then the tedious end chopping/weaving in. Hurrah! So if I can make a baby ripple in 4 days, do you think it would be worth making them to sell? That’s ok timewise, I suppose the question is whether or not people would buy them. I do have a fair bit of time on my hands at the moment, so time is not an issue. This ripple is a gift for my good friend Katherine over at the Peppermints and Poppies blog. I hope she likes it!

I’m quite excited to be finishing the ripple though, because I have a cushion pad that would really love to have a cover over it. Don’t you just love that it is blue already, and so I won’t need to back the crochet cover I make for it? Excellent, I’m so happy! I think I might use these to make a cover …

Or maybe these …

Which are tiny (and so would take a while) but they are super soft and the colours go nicely with the cushion. Hmm. Decisions. I have quite a lot of the 4ply cotton so it might go better as a time consuming blanket.

Have any of you been having very odd, changeable weather at the moment? We have here and I just cannot fathom how the sky can go from looking like the first picture (below) to the second picture in the space of about thirty minutes. And then back again.

Willow is most confused. She keeps wanting to come out for a hop but then doesn’t like the wet floor and so turns around and gets back in her hutch. She’s so daft.

Bless her :-)

    Hello Heather,
You have a delightful blog! I have been roaming all over it and have smiled numerous times. I found you from Lucy at Attic24. As I am a crocheteer (ha) I have especially enjoyed looking at those pictures. Your garden pictures are lovely please keep those going and I’ll keep checking back! I love looking at the gardens across the big pond! Have a good day….I am preparing for 4-8 more inches of snow on top of my 16 inches that came three days ago! Lovely stuff.

I don’t blame Willow at all. I tend to go back inside as well when it gets wet!

  • oooh nice blanket lady, oh to sit and make pretty things all day lol

  • Love that baby blanket, the colours are great!! And I’d probably go for the second lot of yarns (the more pastelly colours) – look forward to seeing it when it’s done! I’m sure I’ve said this before and you just churn out all these things in less than a week!! You’re unbelievable lol !! Ah if only I didn’t have to go to work…!

  • Yep, you know it – Lucy Sent Me.
    Don’t you just the Ripple ? ? ?

  • Oh blanket <3

Soon you will be living with me and Beeby, and we will enjoy you very much indeed.

  • Hi Heather

Like many before me I see, I’m popping over here from Lucy’s Attic. I can’t see any of your lovely crochet photos though :( It’s showing a photobucket bandwidth exceeded icon in place of all your pics. Bummer!

I’m working on a baby ripple myself at the minute (Lucy’s pattern of course) although I’m having serious tension issues at the moment. Really must work on that. I see ripple frogging looming in my future.*sigh*
